Fallen CNY Fire Fighter Remembered For His Drive & Dedication
Meet Travis Chesebro
Unfortunately, Travis is no longer with us. But his commitment to protecting his community will never be forgotten. He dedicated 20-years of his life volunteering for local fire departments. Travis served for Brookfield, North Brookfield, and most recently Leonardsville.
Nothing ever stopped Travis from attending a call. He loved his community and was always one of the first to respond to an accident. His department is saddened to say he passed away in March of this year.
He loved his work with the fire department and had dreams of eventually becoming a paramedic. He would have given his last dollar to anyone in need.
Though Travis has passed on, he deserves to be recognized for all he did for his community. 20 years is a long time to actively serve in a fire department. He continues to inspire others every day and is missed by everyone. Thank you, Travis!
Do you know a first responder that deserves to be recognized? Tell us about someone who should be honored in Central New York - a firefighter, police officer, EMT, forest ranger, paramedic, DEC officers, military, rescuers, front line workers, or any other person first on the scene.
Include their name, a picture, and why they should be recognized during 'First Responder Friday." We'll honor one first responder every Friday and as a way to say thank you, we'll give them an oil change from Jiffy Lube on Commercial Drive in New Hartford and a Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
