Embrace Kindness Day Comes to the Village of Clinton

The Village of Clinton is about to do something special—something that feels bigger than a single evening.

On June 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the community will gather on the Village Green for the very first Embrace Kindness Day, an event that will now become an annual tradition.

Honoring a Legacy

This day was created to honor the lasting legacy of Emily & Kenni Bisson, two sweet girls whose lives touched so many and whose story continues to bring people together in love and remembrance.

In the days following their tragic loss during the tornado that tore through Clark Mills in June of 2025, the community responded the way small towns do best—by showing up for one another.

From the chalk walk tribute in Clinton to ongoing support efforts, kindness has been the thread holding it all together.

A Night Filled With Joy, Music, and Community

Embrace Kindness Day is built around that same spirit.

The evening will be full of music, entertainment, face painting, and local vendors offering unique items that reflect the heart of Clinton. It’s one of those nights where kids run a little freer, neighbors talk a little longer, and everything feels connected.

And yes—dinner is covered. Guests can stop by food trucks including Tacocat Food Co., The Grapevine Mediterranean Restaurant, Mötley Chëw, and Mangia Macrina’s Wood Fired Pizza.

Save room for something sweet too—The Confectionery will be set up on the green with treats perfect for wrapping up the evening.

A Tribute Built With Love

One of the most meaningful additions to this year’s event is the new playground at Clinton Elementary School, made possible through the support of the Class of 2005 and Upstate Hospital.

It stands as a living tribute—full of color, laughter, and life—just like Emily and Kenni would have loved.

As Parker Gerling shared, “Emily and Kenni are watching over everyone in the world.” That sentiment has become a quiet reminder throughout the community that love doesn’t fade—it just changes form.

Coming Together as One Community

Organizers are encouraging everyone to come out, participate, and help fill the Village of Clinton with smiles, laughter, and simple acts of kindness. Updates and details can be found at the Embrace Kindness Day Facebook page.

On June 22, Clinton isn’t just hosting an event—it’s continuing a promise to choose kindness, together.

Hearts, Rainbows, and Remembrance: Community Chalks for Twin Girls

Even the rain couldn’t wash away the love. The Clinton community filled sidewalks with hearts, rainbows, and messages in memory of 6-year-old twins Emily and Kenni, lost in last week’s tornado. Each drawing a tribute. Each color a reminder.
