Do you love Christmas, trains, and making people smile? The Adirondack Railroad is looking for performers to help bring The Polar Express Train Ride to life this holiday season.
Auditions are being held on Wednesday, August 12, and Wednesday, August 19, from 4 to 6 PM on both days.
They'll be held at the Adirondack Railroad offices at 330 Main Street, Suite 102, in Utica. And they're looking for more than just one Santa. T
here are several different roles available, including the Conductor, Hobo, Hero Boy, Know-It-All Kid, Santa Claus, chefs, and stewards.
Who Are They Looking For?
There are several roles up for grabs, including:
- Conductor & Hobo: Men ages 30–50 who are charming, outgoing, and personable.
- Hero Boy: Boys ages 9–13 who are sincere and comfortable interacting with others.
- Know-It-All Kid: Boys ages 9–13 who are outgoing and personable.
- Santa Claus: Men 45 or older who are warm, sincere, and joyful. Previous Santa experience is a plus.
- Chefs & Stewards: Men or women ages 16–70 with singing, acting, and dancing skills. Performers should be outgoing and joyful.

There's One Important Catch
If you're selected, you'll need to be available for rehearsals two to three times a week leading up to the November and December performances. So this isn't just a one-night Christmas gig — you'll be part of bringing the whole Polar Express experience to life.
