Eat less By Serving Food From The Kitchen Counter
Many of us would like to lose weight and sometimes go on extreme diets and take up restrictive eating patterns. A new study suggests that if you serve food from a kitchen counter instead of keeping it on the table, people tend to eat less.
According to Cornell University researcher professor Brian Wansink:
"...It is a case of out of sight, out of mind. When we keep the serving dishes off the table, people ate 20% few calories. Men ate close to 29% less".
Researchers also suggest that you can use the same idea to eat healthy. If you keep fruits and vegetables in plain sight and hide the cookies, cakes and candies, people will most likely snack on the fruits and veggies.
Maybe we should save this calorie counting information until New Year's Day!
