Matt Hamill is speaking out about saving a child after chasing down an alleged drunk driver. He tells mmafighting.com he turned his truck around after noticing the car weaving in and out of traffic, traveling in the wrong direction.

Hamill was on his way home to Ohio for Easter when he noticed the driver, going the wrong way on a highway where everyone else was traveling 70 miles an hour.

"She was going slower but she was going on the wrong side of the street, and you could see her face, she was kind of drooling. There was obviously something going on with her that just wasn’t right. She was breathing fine, but you could just tell there was something, some issues. It seemed like Pac-Man, trying to avoid all the little ghosts. She was all over the place. "

After forcing the car into the grass, Hamill ran along side the vehicle, punched out the window and stopped the car. A six year-old boy was in the back seat, bawling. "He was fine and everything, just a little bit upset, but if she hadn't been stopped I definitely feel like someone would've ran into something. The mother was on drugs and had been drinking apparently."

The driver is identified as 27-year-old Nicole Lamendola, who was arrested and charged with felony DWI. The child was turned over to a family member.

The Hammer my need a new nickname. Matt 'The Hero' Hamill.
