Can you help find the lowlife responsible for leaving a dog for dead, tied to a tree in New York?

The neglected dog was discovered tied to a tree in the Hudson Valley and police are asking you to help finding the owners.

Department of Transportation workers found the poor pooch when they were preparing to mow a section of the interstate just off of I-84 in East Fishkill.  They heard the dog and found him tied to a tree after searching the wood.

With help from the Dutchess County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the dog was rescued and is now being cared for. Police are now trying to find the person responsible for abandoning the animal and are asking for your help.

Photos of the dog, along with the section of I-84 where it was abandoned were released in hopes someone will step forward with more information.

If you know anything about the dog or its owners, you can contact the New York State Police at (845) 677-7300. Please reference SJS# 9050766. All calls will be kept confidential.
