COVID-19 has many people quarantining at home looking for something new to do to fill all that extra time. Or something old to do. A central New York photographer has picked up her camera again after a two year break and her photos are downright spooky.

Colleen Gloude has been a photographer for almost 16 years. She hasn't had much time the past few years to fit it in while teaching nursery school and yoga. Then the coronavirus pandemic hit, giving Gloude time to starting taking pictures again.

Her daughter Kassidy and two friends are the focus of Gloude's latest photo shoot, an idea she had while shopping. "I was at a craft store, saw the masks and figured I'd get them so my 3 kids could decorate them Halloween day."

As Gloude was pulling into her driveway, she got a better idea. "The girls were out shopping in their dresses just for something fun to do, so I called and asked them to come home so I could take some cool Halloween pictures. They were all for it."

Gloude loves everything about Halloween and has for years. "My love for Halloween runs deep into my child hood. My parents really went all out on Halloween."

The celebration even starts early. "For the past 12 years, we go to Old Forge Camping Resort for their Halloween weekend in late September, so I am costumed up and ready for the spooky season early."

This year the theme was Hocus Pocus.

The family doesn't just get dressed up for Halloween either. The ladies of the family all donned costumes for her sister's 50th birthday.
