Earlier this month we talked about what varieties of seeds perform best in CNY.  At that time Jeff Miller with Cornell Cooperative Extension was working with area seed companies to compile a list of the 3 varieties that worked best..

Jeff's list is sorted into corn for grain and silage, soybeans, alfalfa and wheat.  Reports came in from; Channel - Jim Valent, Growmark FS - Mark Bailey, Mycogen - Art Graves, Hubner - Joe Maloney Agronomist, Pioneer Hybrids - Andy Mower, Chemgro - Tom Brouillette and TA seeds - Richardson Farms.

Information includes the characteristics of each seed variety and when it performs best. For instance is it resistant to disease, does it work well in no-till and early or late planting. You can see the entire report in CCE's November Farm Flash.
