Chances are, you've had a Voss' hot dog before, but is Voss' the best place for a hot dog in all of New York State? According to a national blog, they are.

The website First We Feast recently did a rundown of the best places in each sate to get a hot dog, and out of all the places to grab a dog in the state, from New York City to Buffalo, their choice is Voss'.

FirstWeFeast.com blogger Hawk Krall is a food writer who spent three years as a hot dog columnist for SeriousEats.com. Imagine that. He spent three years writing about nothing but hot dogs. It's safe to say he knows his stuff.

Here is Krall's review of Voss' hot dogs for FirstWeFeast.com:

I’ve never had them served better than at Voss Bar-B-Q, a dairy-bar stand outside of Utica. Voss' does both the standard “Red Hots” (topped with chili and crumbles of Voss’ signature “chopped cheese”) and the unique “White Hots” (a delicious frankfurter variation that is made with veal, egg white, and spices like nutmeg and coriander). Voss' griddles the dogs and serves them on miniature butter toasted split-top buns.—HK

That's high praise from a hot dog expert.

What do you think? Are Voss' hot dogs the best New York has to offer?

While you think about it, I'm heading to Voss'.
