Here are the details from our sister station, WIBX:

"The State Board of Elections has approved an extension of the deadline for absentee ballot applications as New Yorkers continue to deal with the fallout from Hurricane Sandy.

The original deadline for applications was Tuesday, but it’s been extended until tomorrow. The extension applies statewide.

Voters can still go to their local board of elections and cast an absentee ballot in person up to Monday.
