Ever since the "Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders" elevated the art of pom-pom shaking to a new level football fans--of the male variety--have been accustomed to enjoying the sideline activity almost as much as the game itself.  However this Sunday's  "Super" matchup between Green Bay and Pittsburgh will be devoid of any such diversions for the first time since 1968. Why, you may ask?Neither the Green Bay Packers nor the Pittsburgh Steelers will be bringing any along -- they're among six teams that don't have them on the payroll.

The Steelers got rid of their squad in 1970, while the Packers use local college rooters for their home games, but not on the road.

Not everyone's complaining. Steelers wide receiver Antwaan Randle El says, "I'm glad they're not here. They are a distraction. If you look at the [giant screens], it's, "Oh, my Lord!' Especially in Dallas."

Sorry Mr. Randle El but you are in a small, small, very small minority!
