Do you abide by the five second rule? You know, where you drop food but still pick it up and eat it if it was on the floor less than five seconds. Heck, I abide by the 30 second rule.  Especially if it's something really good. I like food. But you have to be quick or the dog will get it first.

A new study reveals the five second rule is no longer valid. Researchers dropped carrots on a counter top, a kitchen sink, a table, carpet and a tiled floor. They found germs attached to the carrots within five seconds. The counter top was the dirtiest surface, with the carpeted and tiled floors following closely in second and third place.
