What’s The Most Popular Dog Breed?

The Greg "Splashin'" McShea family loves dogs, and I'm sure most of you do as well. Some of  us have pure breeds, and some mutts, but they're all great companions, no matter what breed. Now, a  new ranking of the most popular dog breeds is out by the American Kennel Club.

Here are the top 10 most popular dog breeds, based on registration of some 160 breeds, from number 10 to number one, according to AKC:

10. Rottweiler

9. Dachshund

8. Poodle

7. Boxer

6. Bulldog

5. Yorkshire Terrier

4. Golden Retriever

3. Beagle

2. German Shepherd Dog

And, number one for the 21st consecutive year - Labrador Retriever
