As mentioned earlier by Matt Herkimer, Elvis Presley died on this day at age 42 in 1977. While many associate Elvis with "Rock & Roll", and rightfully so, many of his pop hits were big country hits as well. Today, we'll begin our "Country Classic Double" at 11:30 a.m. with  "The King's" number one country song in 1977, "Way Down", and the last song released before his death.

We'll complete our "Country Classic Double" Elvis tribute with Willie Nelson and Leon Russell's rendition of  "Heartbreak Hotel", a number one for them in 1979 and for Elvis in 1956.

Enter Elvis Presley as the first artist of today's "Country Classic Double" in our Rewards Club for a chance to win tickets to Utica-Rome Speedway, and oil change from Burkhart Automotive and tickets to see Keith Urban at The Great New York State Fair in Syracuse.
