Tuesday Night Thunder, the perfect name for the final night of racing at the Utica Rome Speedway in 2016.  This coming Tuesday, October 4, the Vernon Track will host the completion of the Victoria event, a $3,000 to win 360 Sprint Car open, plus the Pro Race Car Mod Lites.

There's been lots of talk about drought conditions around CNY this year, but it certainly wasn't the case at the Utica Rome Speedway.  They're hoping the third time will be the charm when they try to complete the Victoria event, a race that pays $5,500 to win.  It was originally set to be completed on May 22 but was rained out.  Mother nature spoiled it a 2nd time on August 14.  The 55 lap Race of Champions main event pays $250 to starters.

Tuesday Night Thunder will also feature (my favorites) the 360 Sprints.  And with a $3,000 to win main event, some of the Northeast's best drivers will be on hand.  Last year's event saw a track record set.

The night also features Pro Race Car Mod Lites.  Tickets are $22, Seniors, Students, Military $18, kids 16 and under are just $5.  Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. racing begins at 7 p.m. and campers are welcome.  Get more information at Utica Rome Speedway.com or call 315-829-4557
