The Happiest Girl Is On Today’s Classic Double

On this day in 1972, “The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA” was certified gold on the country charts, and it was a number one single for Donna Fargo (and one of Matt Herkimer’s favorite songs). We’ll lead off our “Country Classic Double” with that happy girl this morning at 11:30 a.m.  and finish with “Brand New Man”, the debut single by Brooks & Dunn that was the number one country song on this day in 1991.

Here’s a vintage video of Donna Fargo singing “The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA” on TV’s Hee-Haw.

Enter Donna Fargo as today’s first artist of the “Country Classic Double” in our Rewards Club for a chance to win tickets to Utica-Rome Speedway, a free oil change from Burkhart Automotive and more!
