Ilion's Steele's Creek was a hot topic of discussion on social media when the creek began to overflow due to amazing amounts of ice.

The creek had so much ice that it began to overflow at several places along its banks, and had to be cleared by emergency crews in the Village on Friday.

The photos are from Otsego Street between West Street/Weber Ave and Fourth Street where Steele's Creek crosses under Otsego.

In 2013, the same stretch of creek was overflowed when debris backed it up causing it to send water down West Street and flood out dozens of homes. Obviously, residents of the Village were concerned when this situation began.

Thankfully no where near as much damage was done by this round of flooding.

Take a look at just how much ice was flowing down Steele's Creek on Friday(1/12/18).
