French 'Survivor' Cancelled After Contestant Dies

The French version of 'Survivor' called Koh-Lanta has been cancelled after a contestant died during the first day of filmng. 25-year-old guy Gerard Babin suffered a heart attack during a tug-of-war challenge in Cambodia. The rest of the cast was flown home and the show was axed.

If you're a 'Survivor' fan on CBS, you know who Russel Hantz is. He's one of the biggest villians in reality show history. Hantz has competed on the show the last two seasons and made it to the finals the first time around, but lost. The second time, he got booted pretty early. His team must have learned a thing or two about him watching the previous season.

Hantz's nephew Brandon Hantz is part of the new cast on the new season of 'Survivor: South Pacific which premiers September 14th at 8. A word of advice: don't tell anyone your last name. It'll take you a lot further in the game.

"Survivor" fan favorite/double loser Russell Hantz is creating controversy outside of the game these days, as accusations surface that the castaway leaked results for Seasons 19 and 20 of the long-running reality show.

A "Survivor" fan who was sued last year for posting accurate spoilers on a message board has pointed the finger at Hantz as his information source. If the accusation is true, Hantz could be fined 5 million dollars for breaking his confidentiality agreement with CBS.
