What better way to start October than with a new state record? Karl Haist from Clarence Center became New York state's record-holder with his 2,027 pound pumpkin.
The Great Utica Pumpkin Carve is underway, and on Thursday night several artists turned out to see who could carved the best Jack O'Lantern. From one that was Harry Potter themed, to the Utica skyline each pumpkin was as impressive as the rest. Check out some of this Halloweens most creative carves.
What goes perfect with pumpkins left over from Halloween? Animals smashing them at the Utica Zoo? They are holding a Pumpkin Smash, but instead of using a hammer or throwing them on the ground, they will be given to animals to do it! It's pretty cool seeing a lion or even a monkey destroying them. Orange goo is sure to fly everywhere!
Fall is one of the best seasons. The temperatures are usually pretty mild, the trees change into beautiful shades of red, gold, and orange, apples are nice and crisp, and pumpkins are ready for carving!
