We have a new addition to our family. We picked up this cute little kitten over the weekend. Ironically, Matt and his wife picked up a new pet this weekend too. They adopted a cat from the humane society and named her Fenway, since Matt's wife is a Boston Red Sox fan. Our newest member of the family remains nameless. I thought of boots for her white paws, but that's so common. I'd rather pick something unique. Any suggestions?
My wife and I went to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society Friday on a mission. After our cat, Alice, passed away in January we didn't think we would want another cat but time heals all--or at least most--wounds and decided to give a shelter cat a new lease on the good life. What happens when a stampede of about 10 puppies "attack" you? If you answered over-the-top cuteness, you are correct. Although, it's all fun and games with puppies until their little, razor sharp teeth puncture skin. But, it comes with the territory when you roughhouse with puppies. In this video, someone unleashes a stampede of puppies and a guy is playfully swarmed by them. And, it's all fun and games until they start to bite. In the words of the guy on the video, "Ouch, gosh dang it!" Cute stuff.

My cat—my pal—Alice died Saturday morning. She was 15 years old and had suffered from hyperthyroidism for several months. Despite medication and veterinary care she slipped away in my arms, wrapped in a blanket just after 10AM. She was a loving and gentle companion who gave me more than I could ever have given her. The way she came into my life was a sign that it was meant to be

There are tons of cute animal videos out there but this one had me laughing out loud this morning. Having had dogs I know they don't always show great discipline when faced with a food opportunity but this one not only showed restraint but showed just how difficult it was through his look.
