You know that the Frog Days of Summer are nearing an end when the NFL Football season begins. The regular season starts this week with a Thursday night game between Green Bay and New Orleans Saints. My team (and maybe yours) for over 30 years has been the Buffalo Bills.
Faith Hill Returns For Sunday Night Football
If you've been waitin' all week for Sunday night, you're not alone. For her fifth year in a row, Faith Hill will sing the NBC 'Sunday Night Football' theme. Faith is a diehard football fan and waits 'all year' for Sunday night. She's thrilled to be taking part again this year. Her first game will be September 11th when the SuperBowl champs, Green Bay Packers take on the New Orleans Saints.

NFL Lockout Officially Over
Football fans rejoice! The NFL lockout is officially over. Team owners and players agreed to a new 10-year collective bargaining agreement. Team facilities will open tomorrow, with signing, trades, roster cuts and the opening of training camps to follow later this week.
The lockout, which began on March 12th, led to the longest work stoppage in NFL history.
NFL Close to Deal To End Lockout
Are you ready for some football? It looks like the NFL season may start as planned this year after all. Commissioner Roger Goodell announced, NFL league owners have approved a new 10 year collective bargaining agreement that would end the lockout. The players still have to vote on the deal but team facilities are tentatively set to open tomorrow.
All I have to say is, it's about time! The drawn out lock-out was starting to alienate fans who spend their hard earned money each year on tickets, football parties, jersey's or even the NFL Sunday Ticket so they can watch every game each week.

If you're a football fan or just like to see someone overcome adversity, you may want to check out Kenny Chesney's new football documentary, premiering this weekend. "The Color Orange: The Coldredge Holloway Story" is about the University of Tennessee's earyl 1970's star player, who became the first African American starting quarterback in the Southeastern Conference.
