For Ralph Macchio, it was close, but not close enough. The 'Karate Kid' star was officially kicked out of the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 12 competition Tuesday night, ending a somewhat rocky road to the semifinals. Macchio, who began the season with an unexpectedly strong debut performance, thanked his fans and partner Karina Smirnoff for an unforgettable run on the show.

So much for a knockout. After four weeks in the competition, ‘Dancing With the Stars’ pair Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya were eliminated from the competition.
