It started early this year, October 22 to be exact, when TBS ran a "Home Improvement" episode called "Home For the Holidays" and the pace will be be picking up quickly starting this weekend. I'm talking about Christmas TV, specials, movies and holiday themed episodes of regularly scheduled shows. Not only will favorites like "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's A Wonderful Life" return but, yes, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" will pop up from time to time. There are a number of funny Santa videos, but this one is for real. I first saw this video on MSNBC a couple of years ago, and it's hilarious. Apparently, a guy dressed as Santa was supposed to hop down from the garage roof into a pick up truck with his sack full of toys for the kids, but slipped. Let me say up front, the guy didn't get hurt, and he did a later interview about the whole thing on MSNBC. From the interview, the guy admitted that Santa had a few brews under his belt.

Sometimes while watching TV during the "Frog Days of Fall",  the sentiments expressed in a TV commercial may capture the spirit of the holidays. Year's ago in the McShea household, we recorded "A Charlie Brown Christmas", and one of the commercials on our homemade tape featured a little girl and Ronald McDonald. It got to the point where we preferred to watch that recorded version of the Charlie Brown show, so that we could see the McDonald's TV commercial with Lindsay and Ronald.
