SONY Creates New Cassette Tape That Can Hold Over 64,750,000 Songs

Are you thinking about throwing out your cassette deck of the car? Think again! SONY has designed this new cassette tape that can hold 148 gigabytes per square inch of tape. That's pretty awesome right?

Fuse TV reports that the tape will eventually be available for commercial sale,however, there's no word on when the public can buy one. I can imagine the price will be super high!

Consequence of Sound reports a single cassette can last you a whooping 8,093,750 days, or hold 18.5 versions of the Library of Congress. That's a lot of media. Now where did we put that Walkman..."

So for all the tech nerds out there, this tape can hold up to 185 terrabytes. That's pretty amazing.
