February 1, 2011 A compilation of Waylon Jennings songs entitled "The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings Volume 1" will be available on Tuesday February 8th. The tribute collection will feature a number of classic and contemporary country performers including Randy Houser who chose to record "I'm A Ramblin' Man" because it related to his own life.
January 31, 2011 Brad Paisley upcoming CD "This is Country Music" will hit stores on April 19th. The CD will include the title cut which is currently sitting high on the country charts as well as feature some interesting guest artists.
January 24, 2011 Alabama teen James Powers is asking Taylor Swift to his prom, in song. He goes to Hazel Green High School and created new lyrics to her song "Our Song" called "Our Prom." No word if she's answered Powers or even if she's seen the video
January 5, 2011 They were the most successful country band of the 80's and early 90's with some 40 #1 hits, sell-out shows and a few fireplace mantles full of awards. Then some 7 years ago they decided to park the tour bus and call it a day career wise. Now it appears that lead singer Randy Owen and good buddy Teddy Gentry may be rounding up the old crew to so some more work. In the upcoming February 7th issue of Country Weekly magazine Randy addresses the possibility.
"Me and Jeff and Teddy, we're still together,” Randy says. "We told everybody we just didn't plan to tour for a while, or maybe ever, but we might do some recording. After all those years, it was time to do it."
