On the small farm where I grew up, Dad handled the chores while Mom handled the bookkeeping. Not to say Mom didn't do any farming, she ran her share of tractors and cows. But when it came time to financial planning it was all her.  Cornell Cooperative Extension in Madison County is offering Annie's Project, farm management classes specifically for women.

Annie’s Project is a six-week course designed for farm women to help them develop their management and decision-making skills for their farms.  It's designed for farm women who have been in farming or part of farming for at least the last five years, and want to develop their understanding, interpretation, and opportunities in sustainable agriculture.

Sessions include brief presentations, discussions focused on the participant’s questions, and hands on training.  Annie’s Project gives farm women the opportunity to learn from female agricultural professionals and network with other women in similar situations.
