Jason Aldean is asking for privacy as he take the steps to end his marriage.  He admits his entire family is going through 'a really tough time' and hopes people will give them 'some level of privacy' and 'at the very least be respectful' of his children.

Aldean filed for a divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.  He and Jessica Ussery are high school sweethearts and have been married for over a decade.  He tells People, they 'have been through a lot of ups and downs over the years' and Jessica 'will always be important to him,' because she's the mother of his two girls.  Aldean says their daughters will be their 'number one priority.'

Aldean knows, because of his 'job,' he'll 'have to go through a lot of this in the public eye.'  But he's hoping people keep his kids out of the spotlight.

Aldean and his wife have been separated since January and although he admits there were problems in their marriage, I'm sure the racy photo incident didn't help.  Aldean was caught getting close with former American Idol Brittney Kerr.  He later apologized, but the damage was done.

Fans are upset with Aldean's behavior, while others stand behind him.  I say, we all make mistakes and no one knows the entire story or what goes on in someone else's private life.  Who are we to judge?  The only difference between what his family is going through and what we go through, is he has to do it in the public eye, because he's a celebrity. But that's what you get when you sign up to be a country star. I just hope the public and his fans respect his wishes to keep the children out of it all.  They're just innocent kids and should be able to live a somewhat normal life.
