The "Frog Days of Fall" began today at 5:05 a.m., or technically known as the autumnal equinox. Autumn is my favorite season...apples, football, Halloween, and The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown TV Special.

Seeing that the arrival of autumn affects us every year, let's take a closer look at what the autumnal equinox is. According to The Old Farmer's Almanac:

"The Autumnal Equinox

The word equinox comes from the Latin words for "equal night." The fall and spring equinoxes are the only days of the year in which the hours of day and night are equal as the Sun crosses the celestial equator."

And, the most important question kids ask each other during autumn is: "What are you going to be for Halloween?"
