It’s National Library Week

This is National Library Week, and Big Frog 104 salutes the great local resource that we have in central New York...the Mid York Library System. We love to read in the Greg "Splashin'" Mcshea household, and we appreciate libraries.

The library of 2012 is much more than just books. There's music, movies, exhibits, guest speakers and special events.

A couple of years ago, my wife and I took a tour of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. What an incredible place. There were memorabilia of presidents, folk singers, TV shows, a Bob Hope exhibit many other icons of our American culture...and it's free to visit.

We salute the great work carried out by our libraries each day, and if the kids are home from school this week, why not take them to your local library.
