It’ll Cost You Twice as Much for Water at the New York State Fair

It'll cost you more for a bottle of water this year at the New York State Fair.

A new deal between the New York State Fair and Pepsi requires everyone to sell Aquafina water only, including vendors. The cost will go from $1 to $2.

Acting Fair Director Troy Waffner tells News Channel 9 this is a one year deal. Next year water companies will be able to bid on who provides the water during the New York State Fair. But it must be bottled in New York state.

The New York State Fair runs August 22nd - September 3rd. There are several chances to catch some free country music at Chevy Court. Hunter Hayes will take the stage August 26th at 8pm, Big & Rich will 'Ride a Horse,' August 31st at 8pm and Maren Morris will wrap up the country entertainment at the fair September 3rd at 1pm.
