Hannah Storm Returnts To TV 3 Weeks After Accident
ESPN Sportscenter anchor, Hannah Storm is back on the air just 3 weeks after being severly burned in a grill accident. Storm, who co-anchors the morning Sportscenter, returns to the air on ABC as co-host of the Tournament of Roses Parade.
Storm suffered first and second degree burns to her face, neck, chest and hands when a propane gas grill at her home exploded on December 11. She also lost her eyebrows and half her hair.
With her left hand, she tore off her burning shirt. She tried to use another part of her shirt to extinguish the flames that engulfed her head and chest, while yelling for help. Her 15-year-old daughter, Hannah, called 911 and a computer technician who was working in the house grabbed some ice as Storm tried to cool the burns.
