Dwight Yoakam Featured On Today’s Country Classic Double

Dwight Yoakam is celebrating his 56th birthday today, and we’re featuring him on our “Country Classic Double” at 11:30 a.m.. We’ll begin with “Streets Of Bakersfield”, a duet with Dwight Yoakam and the late Buck Owens, which went to number one in 1988. Buck Owens originated the “Bakersfield Sound” in country music, which was based on his style of playing and calling Bakersfield, California his home.
