Danica Patrick has made history again. Patrick became the first woman to win the pole at any race in NASCAR's top circuit. Patrick set the mark with a lap at 196.434 mph and will be on the pole for the Daytona 500 next Sunday.

The only other driver to hit the 196 mph mark was Jeff Gordon. He will share the front row with Patrick, while the rest of the Daytona field will be set through qualifying races this Thursday. The 55th Daytona 500 will kick off the 2013 NASCAR season this weekend.
