Like many artists, Dierks Bentley says it was George who gave him his start.

Ronnie Dunn remembers seeing George Strait and wanting to be that guy.

Blake Shelton another one of the many new artists to tour with George remembers hanging out with Martha to watch the show.

Kenny Chesney of course was on George's tour when he got arrested over the horse incident in Buffalo.  Kenny says the two years he spent on the road with him were the most educational of his life.

Tim McGraw was on that same tour with Kenny, but his fondest memory involved a very pregnant Faith Hill refusing to come off the stage with George.

And last but not least, Reba McEntire who spent a lot of time touring with George, she remembers the after parties and wig night.

I was fortunate enough to meet George Strait at his show in Ft. Wayne, IN several years ago.  I remember being impressed with how friendly and accommodating he was for being such a superstar.  But most of all I couldn't get over how he was such a normal-sized guy.  He just always seemed 10 feet tall.
