Cute Kids

Many parents insist their child is a genius. Our 'Cute Kid' of the day, Emmelyn Roetteger, however, has the paperwork to prove it. She scored a 135 on an IQ test, and was accepted into MENSA.

She is, on the other hand, still a toddler, as this bit from the Today Show shows us.

Our 'Cute Kid' of the day is a Carrie Underwood fan.  She sings along to Underwood’s new tune 'Good Girl' while dancing wildly.  The 3 year old may be in her car seat, but she doesn't let that stop her from moving to the beat while the song plays on the radio.

Our 'Cute Kid' of the day, Coleman Shannon was born without a right hand and forearm, due to a medical condition called Amelia, but that hasn’t slowed him down from chasing his baseball dreams. In fact, the 14-year-old left-handed pitcher recently threw a no-hitter in a Johnsonville, SC little league game.

Every parent likes to think their toddler is a genius. But the parents of our 'Cute Kid' of the day, two-year-old Anthony Popa Urria have the Mensa membership to back that up.

Still in diapers, Anthony has been admitted into the high IQ-society on the strength of his 154 IQ, which is just short of the scores of great thinkers Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawkins.

Our 'Cute Kid' of the day is five-year-old Leland Camara who suffers from Leukemia. He’s had some tough days since he was diagnosed in September, but he also realizes others have gone out of their way to make his time more joyful as he battles the disease. For example, last winter his hometown fire department in Anchorage, Alaska sent Santa Claus over to his house so he could enjoy a proper Christmas.

So when Leland got hooked up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, he asked for two wishes.

It's become a morning tradition.  These kids break into a killer rendition of the Queen classic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’

2-Autistic

'American Idol' isn't the first reality show Jessica Sanchez has been on.  At age 11, she appeared on the first season of 'America's Got Talent.' Despite a successful audition with Celine Dion's 'I Surrender,' she wasn't chosen to be in the semi finals. Say what?!  So we'll choose her to be our 'Cute Kid' of the day, even though she's not a kid anyone.

Fast forward six years, Jessica is now in the Top 5 of American Idol and is a favorite to win.  Check her out at age 11.  How she didn't make it through then, is anyone's guess.

Our 'Cute Kid' of the day is an aspiring country singer who is getting some big name support.  11 year old Alana Springsteen has been working with Kristian Bush of Sugarland to score a record deal in Nashville.  She may not have a deal yet, but she's already being put in the spotlight.  During a recent Sugarland show, Bush called Alana on stage to help sing the song that got everything started for the band, 'Baby Girl.'
