Teams are being cut in half as round two of the battles begin on 'The Voice.'  The talent is so good this season, it's making hard for the coaches to choose who to keep and who to send home. Blake Shelton went with loyalty and uniqueness.

Megan Ruger vs Audra McLaughlin

Nashville rocker Megan Ruger was paired up with country singer Audra McLaughlin to kick off the show with 'The Climb.' Although both killed it, giving coach Shelton a tough choice, he went with uniqueness, telling Audra 'the way you navigate yourself through a vocal, I just have so much respect for. I've never heard anything like it. The winner of this battle is Audra.'

Jake Worthington vs Tess Boyer

It was the battle of second chances for Jake Worthington, who failed to make a team last season and Tess Boyer, who Blake stole from Team Usher. Their performance of 'Have A Little Faith in Me' was so good, it drove coach Blake to drink, more. 'If this is any indication of what we're in for in the second round of battles, my liver is not gonna make it. When it comes down to a tie, where I think both have given it all they can give it, I gotta cast my vote for loyalty and stick with Jake. He's been with me all along.' Good choice! That was the best I've heard Jake sing yet. Former Team Blake members, The Swon Brothers are also Jake fans.

Tess, who's been on Team Usher and Team Blake, is now on Team Shakira after she used her only steal for the second battle rounds.

The battles continue tonight on NBC at 8 with a performance that has adviser Chris Martin of Coldplay saying 'there's only a few people who can sing like that.' I'm guessing he's talking about Sisaundra from Team Blake, who I think will win this season.
