Are Fruit Stickers Edible?

Miguel Villagran/Getty Images News

What happens if your kids, or you yourself, eat the stickers that are on fruit? You won’t die, you probably won’t even know the difference.

A big topic on TIL on Reddit today discusses fruit stickers. You know those annoying stickers on apples hard to get off? Now you may not have to worry about getting them off.

The FDA explains fruit stickers are actually edible! Should you try to peel them off? Yes, unless you like eating stickers. Sometimes you may forget, but that’s ok. They’re made out of “edible paper”. Even the glue holding the stickers to the fruit is food grade.

Now you can sleep at night.
