The name may be a bit misleading, because there's a lot more than herbs and flowers at the 19th Annual Herb & Flower Festival.  Hosted by the Master Gardener Volunteers of Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County the festival includes several gardening classes, a view of the botanical gardens and lots of vendors.

The festival is this Saturday, (June 20) from 9:30 to 3:30 at the Oneida County Farm & Home Center, 121 Second Street in Oriskany.

MG volunteers have arranged 7 free classes covering a ‘potpourri’ of gardening topics- allowing gardeners to gain up-to-date knowledge on plants, beekeeping, tomatoes, Dahlias, growing hops as well as other gardening concerns.

In addition to classes, you can visit more than 45 horticultural and gardening related vendors, stroll through the gardens and visit the butterfly house.  There's a $3 donation required, kids 12 and under are free.   Get more details on The Herb and Flower Festival at the CCE website or their Facebook page.
