Its down to the top 5 on 'The X-Factor,' as 2 more were sent home.  It came down to Marcus Canty, Astro and Drew in the bottom three after Michael Jackson night.  The one with the least votes was the first to be sent home.

To the surprise of the audience, Astro was the one to go.  He left as the crowd booed the decision.  But despite his outburst two weeks ago when he was in the bottom two, he handled the exit with class.  Watch his elimination and final words.  I don't think this is the last we'll hear from Astro.  Love him or hate him, he's still one of the most talented 14 year olds I've heard.

Then it was up to Drew and Marcus Canty to sing for their lives with their elimination song.  Drew was visibly upset with being in the bottom two and it showed in her song.  LA Reid choose to keep Marcus, which is no surprise since he's on his team.  Simon picked Drew and took full responsibility for her being in the bottom.  She sang 'Billie Jean' from a chair in the center of the stage Wednesday night and the other 3 judges felts she should have sang a more upbeat song and moved around the stage, since it was Michael Jackson night.  I guess the audience thought the same since she was in the bottom.

So it came down to Nicole and Paula to decide who would be going home.  Both went with Drew, making Simon Cowell madder than I've ever seen him.  He even refused to speak after the decision was made.  And Simon speechless is something new.  Drew was in tears as well.

If Paula and Nicole had split their votes and it had come down to a tie, the one with the lowest votes would have been sent home.  I just bet it was Marcus, not Drew who would have been eliminated.

Watch Drew and Simon's reaction.

Marcus returns next week with Rachel Crow, Josh Krajcik, Melanie Amaro and Chris Rene.  Tune in to Fox Wednesday night at 8.
