Tickets for FrogFest 2015 go on sale to the public on Friday, March 13th at 10am for $20 a piece. Big Frog Rewards club members can get their tickets early for a discount Thursday starting at 10am for only $15. Do you realize how great of a deal that is?

There are several things right in our own backyard that are more expensive than going to FrogFest 2015. Here's a few things more expensive than buying your tickets for FrogFest.

1) Season Pass To Darien Lake

Who doesn't love riding roller coasters? However, this trip can get pricey. A season pass to Darien Lake is an amazing deal of it's own, but it's definitely more expensive than going to Frogfest. A season pass sells for $64.99. Once again, a great deal in the world of theme parks, but more expensive than Frogfest. Also, this doesn't count the gas you'll need, or snacks for the ride out.

2) Trip To Lake Placid

I probably love Lake Placid more than the 1980's Olympic team! I had my honeymoon there, and vacation there very frequently. However, planning a day trip, or even a week long trip to Lake Placid, can get pricey. If you look at the cost of gas to drive up there, the cost of a hotel, the cost to eat at many of the amazing restaurants, the cost of checking out the Olympic sites, and checking out the scenery, can get pricey. Your $20 FrogFest ticket is defiantly more affordable than a trip up north.

3) Buying A North Face In New Hartford

Let’s face it, North Face is the style of New Hartford and Clinton. It's just the way it is. When you go to North Face's website, the cheapest male jacket is listed at $65! A couple can buy tickets to FrogFest, and have money for food, with that kind of dough. However, we will argue these jackets are very stylish, still more expensive than FrogFest.

4) Buying/Renting A Keg With Utica Club Inside

Who doesn't love a nice ice cold Utica Club? If you're throwing a party, or just wanting to have a good time, a keg is a must! However, these kegs can run from $50 and up! Come to FrogFest and enjoy spending less on the tickets, and enjoying an ice cold beverage at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds.

5) Going To Another Rodeo In New York State

Who doesn't love the rodeo we added to FrogFest with the Painted Pony Rodeo? Personally, before Frogfest, I never saw one! Tickets for normal rodeos can be priced at $30 and up! Your $20 ticket to FrogFest not only gets you access to the music, it gets you access to the rodeo!

6) Ordering Utica Style "Upside Down Pizza" And Wings

If you live in Central New York, you probably eat upside down pizza on a regular basis! If you wanted to feed your entire family, and order some amazing chicken wings as well, you're looking at a very hefty bill. Enjoy some pizza and country music at Frogfest!

7) Going To Watch A Live Nascar Event Out Of State

We've all enjoyed amazing races at the Utica/Rome Speedway and even Watkins Glen. If you're looking to head down to Florida and watch a race in Daytona, we understand the cost to go to Florida alone would be expensive. What about just looking at the tickets on race day? Tickets for the 2016 Daytona race start off (currently as of 3/9/15) at $185 a ticket!

8) Camping At Lake Delta With A Waterfront View

Maybe growing up you got to experience some beach time, and camping time, at Lake Delta state park. If you want to go camping this summer, with a lake front view, you're looking at a price tag of at least $21 a site! At least that gets you access so you can bring your boat! However, bringing your boat also includes an additional fee.

9) Making It Into The Baseball Hall Of Fame

If you're reading this now as an adult, you're way to late for this one. Imagine the amount of money you would have to spend at batting cages, pitching cages, baseball camps, selling candy bars, paying for the proper equipment, and you can imagine the list will go on!

10) Tickets To Yankee Stadium

I'm a huge Yankee fan, but also I'm a pretty cheap person. Seeing the Yankees is one of the most expensive sporting outings you could do in New York state! You have to buy tickets for at least $60 - $80 for the worst seats in the stadium. That doesn't include your parking fees, food, beer, and fees for the drive down. FrogFest should be the world series of country concerts in New York state!
