As you listen to country music on The Best and Most Country Big Frog 104, it's impossible not to hear a song about a state. So, as I was listening to a few songs, I thought it would be fun to make note of songs that mention states and make a list of my favorites. And, while doing this, purely by accident, three out of the five songs on my list are about Georgia. It's a popular state for songs apparently. So, today, I would like to share with you my Top 5 Favorite Songs About States.

    "I've Been Everywhere"

Here is a song that covers all ground. This is Johnny Cash's version of "I've Been Everywhere," which lists a ton of states and cities. Although this one does not mention just one state like all the other songs on my list, it's definitely a great song to try and sings along to.

"All My Ex's Live in Texas"

A classic George Strait song, right here. Why does he live in Tennessee? Well, all of his ex's live in Texas, of course!

"The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia"

One of Reba's most popular songs, in at number two--The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.

"The Devil Went Down to Georgia"

Here it is, my number one favorite state song--The Devil Went Down to Georgia. What makes this song so great? Charlie Daniels and his mean fiddle playin', of course. I mean, this song is definitely one of the greatest in country music.
