Your Old Quarters Could Be Worth Thousands Of Dollars

That's right check your change jars, couch cushions, and pocketbooks because if you have one of these old quarters, you could be sitting on a pile of cash.

Good Housekeeping is sharing a story that some Ebay users are looking for the rare coins, and are willing to pay up to $35,000 for each one.

The problem is how rare these specific quarters are.

The coins in question are United States quarters minted in 1970 that have a small and almost invisible flaw.

What happened is these U.S. quarters were printed over the top of older Canadian quarters from 1941. So on the back of the coin where it says 'quarter dollar,' are faint '1941' markings.

The quarters were made well, making it really hard to see the '1941,' but you can see the mistake in this Ebay listing.

You'll also be able to see that these quarters are fetching a $35,000 price tag from more than 20 people!
