Yogi Berra, real name; Lawrence Peter Berra, has passed away at the age of 90.  While baseball fans knew of his legendary feats, the entire world knew him for his quotes.  So famous they even had their own name, "yogi-isms."  Here's a collection of the best ones.

Some of Yogi's quips are so well known, many people speak them without knowing it:  "It's Deja Vu All Over Again," "The Game Isn't over, until it's over," and "It ain't the heat, it's the humility." Then there's the other side of the coin, many quips attributed to Yogi aren't really his, but this one is; "I didn't say everything, I said."  Here are some of our favorites, from Umpire Bob.com.

  • Baseball is 90% Mental, the other half is physical
  • You can observe a lot by watching
  • If you come to a fork in the road, take it
  • I always thought that record would stand until it was broken.

The Umpire Bob website has a lengthy list of other great "Yogi-isms."  The one that's most appropriate today, "You should always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours."
