Wife of Firefighter Who Suffered Massive Heart Attack Asks For Department Patches
Volunteer firefighter Jake Minnick has been fighting fires for years. Now he's fighting for his life and his wife Jessica is reaching out to Fire Departments around the world with one simple request; to send Jake department patches to show support from his brothers and help him continue to fight.
Jake suffered a massive heart attack shortly after his youngest son was born premature. During a recent check up Jake was taken to the emergency room due to possible clogged or failing stents. He may now be put on the transplant list for a new heart.
It's been a tough time for the Minnick family and Jake can use all the help he can get after being brought back to life by doctors. "Seeing someone die that you love, literally watching them take their last breath and getting CPR done and being shocked back to life is the worst thing a person can go through. Be thankful for all the little things. God helped us through this moment for sure because I could not have handled this day on my own," Jessica shared on Facebook.
Address for Patches
2940 West 75th lane
Lets show the Minnick family how much Central New York cares by sending lots and lots of patches to Indiana. " I can't wait until he gets some to lift his spirits," says Jennifer.
The Minnick family also has a GoFundMe page at Gofundme/theminnicks to help with medical bills. Jessica, Jake and their 4 boys thank you for any help you can give.
