Walmart Apologizes After Website Section For ‘Fat Girl Costumes’ Was Found

If you plan on Halloween shopping at Walmart, try using their website. They have sections for everything including: Boys costumes, Girls costumes, and Fat Girl costumes.....wait is that last one real? You bet it is. 

According to The Orlando Sentinel, the "fat girl costumes" section isn't available through Walmart.com's navigation, and by now it's been changed to "Women's Plus Size Halloween Costumes".

As Jezebel pointed out, the "fat girl" label was most likely written by one of Walmart's web designers as some sort of joke and then never got changed."

A Walmart spokesman explained that the page "never should have been on [their] site". It appears as soon as they were aware of the problem, they removed it. But for many the damage has been done.
