The original Arena was built in 1948, then burnt down in 1953. The community rallied together under the guidance of Mr. Stanley and built another Arena in just 4 months.
The Clinton Arena opened in Jan. 1954 with a Clinton Comets vs. Cornwall Falcon game. The Clinton Arena is the original home of the EHL's Comets. Today it is the "hockey home" for the Clinton High Schools varsity Boy's and Girl's teams, Clinton Comets Youth Hockey organization, The Bobcats a girls hockey organization, men's leagues and senior league hockey. The Clinton Arena is also home of the oldest figure skating club in the United States. Skating is the cornerstone of our community!"
