For the last four years, 1.7 million Kia and Hyundai vehicles have been recalled due to risk of engine fire. Have you gotten your recall letter yet?

Back in January we mentioned a recall of Kia and Hyundai vehicles that has been going on since 2015 due to threat of engine fires. We also mentioned if your vehicle was part of the recall you'd get a letter. Welp, mine came in and here's what you might be able to expect inside.

Turns out my Kia Sportage's oil pan may have a leak which could cause the engine to stall while driving or catch fire. This letter was merely an informative 'interim' letter and I'll get another one instructing me on when to zip my vehicle to the dealer to undergo repair. There's also some instructions on what to do if you feel the vehicle can't wait for repair, or if you've already repaired it at your own expense.

Did you get a letter as well?
