While many were enjoying turkey on Thanksgiving, residents in Rome were enjoying wolf. The snow sculpture appeared at Ft Stanwix where it was the main attraction as people stopped by to take pictures and enjoy it's beauty. That is until someone destroyed it.

Janine Bristol is the woman behind the work. She created the snow sculpture at Ft Stanwix in Rome the night before Thanksgiving. As word spread on social media, people stopped by to see for themselves.

Sometime late Thanksgiving night, the snow sculpture was missing a head, upsetting many on Facebook.

Bonnie Taylor: "Went by it at 8:00 last night and it was fine then. Was very impressive. It's awful that someone had to destroy it."

Karie Smith Raynault: "My family and I went to see it and took pictures. We were very impressed and thought it was beautiful. My biggest fear was someone would destroy it, and I am so sorry that happened. I hope that won't discourage you from creating something like that again."

Janine Bristol say she was just happy her sculpture brought joy to so many. "I enjoyed making it just as much as you all enjoyed viewing it. Thanks for the encouragement. Wolves bring so much joy to my days and I'm glad I could bring the joy to all of you."

Lets hope the inconsideration of one person won't deter Bristol from making more sculptures in the future.
