Here's a local event that you may be interested if you live in the City of Utica. This weekend, the city is holding "Public Safety Day". If you have children who are thinking of a career in public safety, this is an opportunity for them to ask questions.

Here are the details from our sister station, WIBX:

"This weekend, residents of Utica can meet with local firemen, police officers and the mayor during the city’s inaugural Public Safety Day.

On Saturday, from 11 to 3 at City Hall, families can participate in chalk art contests, watch taser and aerial climbing demonstrations and even win a bicycle.

Mayor Rob Palmieri says the event is a great way to introduce the public to the city’s emergency responders.

Child seat inspections and child ID photos will also be available."
