Trace and Rhonda Adkins Open Up About Divorce
Trace Adkins and his wife Rhonda are asking for privacy as they go through their divorce. They released a statement through Atkins's publicist.
'Trace and Rhonda are united in ensuring that their children’s interests come first. They thank everyone for respecting their privacy as they work through this personal matter together.'
Rhonda filed divorce papers Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences. She's asked for primary custody of their three children, child support, alimony and to be named the sole beneficiary of Trace’s life insurance policy.
It's been a rough year for Adkins who checked himself into rehab after a cruise ship fight. He'd been sober 12 years. Less than a month later, Trace lost his father.
Things haven't been easy for Rhonda either who's parents were in a terrible car accident.
